The Zuda Challenge (Part III)
As promised, here are the JENNY STRANGE pages the Jordan and I are putting together as a Zuda entry. In a nutsack, teenage adventurer… big guns, space ships, monsters… high school.
Lemme know what you guys think! Hope I didn’t screw too much of it up… if you think I did though well… shit.

…Eff Yeah! getting better all the time! goodluck to the Zuda man. make us proud
…nice cameo on page 8 hehehe
yeah! i can see J&J on page 8! cool sequence!
Great panels. I love the way the story (what little is yet shown of it) is turning out so far. Also heartily approving the cameos, and it’s not just people cameos either.
Can’t not be stars, baby.
cge my crits:
Page 1: yes i agree with marcom..now that he mentioned it in boards..the shadows on the clothes on the girl seems to look more like a design element rather than a shadow..and i think you don’t need to put shadows at her shoulder being in free fall and all..and i’d think that you should’ve put a thin boundary between the shadows and the outline of her sleeve (panel 4)
Page 2: again marcom is right your shadows seem arbitrary it seems like it’s an “aesthetic shadow” rather than “light source” shadow…if your idea was to create a shadow over the girl because of the ship hovering over her..then i’d suggest a very thin slanting leinilish

*look at the hatching on wolvie’s left chest..see the thin hatching?..that’s what i meant.*
hatching over the most part of her shoulder and some parts of her face instead of the large blacks.
Page 3: same as my comment on page 2..but only for panel last panel (6?)
Page 4: i think the shading style or shadow style on panel 6 (the effect of speed) would make an awesome shadow for the clothes..it looks alive..rather than the static shadows the clothes have.
Page 5: the shadows for the clothes on panel 2 looks an “aesthetic shadow” i think it would’ve looked good if the blacks didn’t “eat up” the whole of the sleeveless outfit..giving it a black color..black ba jd ang color sa iyang sleeveless?
Page 6:panel 2..black ba jd ang color sa iyang shirt or costume?..if i think about it..murag color sya rather than shadow.
Page 7: i think you should use the shadow style on panel 5 on the stairs sparingly than often like what happens on the next page.
Page 8: the walls…i think the shadow style used doesn’t look good on the wall
well that’s my honest crits..im no jim lee, im no joe mad or a Leinil yu..but that’s just me..or bacn it’ll all look awesome once the colors are in.
These were real helpful, man. Thanks a lot. I need more comments like these!
